A welcoming start
Starting primary school is an exciting milestone. Our induction programme helps new Junior Infant pupils feel welcome, get to know their surroundings and begin school with confidence.
Meeting our school team
Parents are welcomed to an induction meeting, where we share information about school policies, procedures and daily routines.
It is also an opportunity to meet key staff, including the Principal, Deputy Principal and Junior Infant teachers.
Visiting the school
Local crèches and childcare providers often bring groups of children to visit us in June. These visits help children become familiar with the school, meet teachers and begin to feel part of our school community.
Towards the end of June, all new pupils are invited for a brief visit to meet their teacher for the coming school year.
Settling in and making friends
Introductory games and activities help children get to know one another, make friends and feel comfortable in their new surroundings.
Our aim is to give every child a positive and happy start to school life.
